Badass, congrats.

Thought about trying a bradco converter? Wyldkardz/Ted says it gets tighter with more power, could really put you guys flying on the top end.

Possible? Sure. Logical? Not really. Darren's car sees the street from time to time but not for any extended period of time since he has no alternator and(depending on what motor is in the car) no radiator. Usually just a quick spin down the block for "testing" LOL.

Did he switch to a dry sump setup? Is that why no alternator?

What battery is he having to run now, lithium?

May I ask what an alternator has to do with a dry sump? I'm confused on the relationship between the two.

Because most (DSM) race cars run the Jays Racing Alternator relocation kit to make room in the front for a large turbo and side exit exhaust. Well with the Magnus dry sump kit it puts the pump in the back where the A/C compressor was and where the ALT is with the Jays Racing kit. I'm not sure if you can run the two together or not. I noticed on Jeff Bush's motor that he ended up removing the ALT when he installed his dry sump kit. So I was just simply asking if he had to do the same thing.

So that is the relation between the two on a DSM.

The above is correct, he (Darren) has been looking into a dry sump for a while now but has just not committed to one.
There really is no need for an alternator if all your doing is drag racing. Frees up some residual drag on the motor and cuts a little weight. Just have to charge it every other pass.

I have run into a torched head on my techs car. Did you ever track down a specific issue?

New Video!!!! :hellyeah: We will be back at it this year hitting alot of the IFO events. If you see us come by and say hello!!
