Hey guys! This weekend I got to work on the car a little bit, fixed a couple boost leaks under the hood, re bled the clutch and got my Frontline Fab Cam Angle Sensor cover on:)

I also finally got around to installing my new rear hatch struts from rtmracing.

And yes I cut the plastic panel with a cutting wheel to access the bolts. I’m sick of trying to remove this old cheap @$$ plastic to have it crack and break anyway. I’ll either pretty up the cuts or just remove the trunk panels all together.

My fuel gauge works!! For those that have followed the build and remember ever since she’s been running on this new motor/setup since last January, after installing the double pumper my gauge hasn’t worked. Yesterday I pulled it and replaced the pump filter socks, which the old ones looked fine, but I was also looking for anything obvious, the only thing that stuck out was the low level sender rod was touching the band clamp around the DW340’s. So I slightly bent it away from the clamp, re installed and viola!

I can’t explain how awesome it is to have a functioning fuel gauge again LOL, I know I should’ve pulled the hanger a year ago LOL.

Hey guys so today I FINALLY got the car to pass a stationary clutch drag test, 7200rpm zero movement 3 times in a row:rocks: Funny thing is the clutch is definitely still dragging at 7500rpm shifts. Certainly wasn’t expecting that after passing the clutch drag test, I was maybe one turn in from the rod being adjusted all the way out, away from firewall, so I have plenty of rod adjustment in, towards the firewall, maybe the clutch just isn’t in it’s sweet spot yet. I’m pretty sold on wanting to go twin, just don’t have the money for one at the moment and there’s only 750 miles or so on this clutch, if I could just get it to shift decent at 7500 I’d be happy. On a different note when I was doing the rear brakes and had the rear of the car up on stands I checked the play in my driveshaft out of suspicion and sure enough my carrier bearings are SHOT. Explains the noises and shuttering that’s been getting worse LOL, that’s one part of the car I haven’t touched yet, and is now priority #1. I’m hoping to dyno the car in May but I definitely need to address the driveshaft, but hey I LOVE my new brakes, my fuel gauge works and even tho she’s not shifting the way I’d like it was still awesome passing the clutch drag test finally, I had fun in the car today and I’m still optimistic on getting it to shift better.

You help keep me inspired.....putting motors in cars kills my body as I am getting older. I just have to do it and put up with the nagging issue until I can get the car "finished" (does that EVER happen...???)

I just want to get my car to the track THIS YEAR. ROFL

The rotors are powerslot from RockAuto. $200 for the set, front and rear, Hawk hp plus pads on the front and stop tech ceramics on the rear, and STMtuned’s stainless break lines, all in all I’m very happy with this set up.
That sounds like a pretty good setup. I thought about the power stop kit but I had them on my Sti and wasn't impressed. The hawk/stoptech pads im sure would make a huge difference.

Looks good man i just installed the powerstop front rotors on my car with brembo brakes, not sure what pads im going to get for it. The rears store stuff for now.

Just got my order from DSM 3D Creations! Nothing too exciting LOL but still cool. You guys should check out their site if you haven’t already, they’ve got some nice stuff for sure, I’ll probably pick up their valve cover stud kit in the near future, anyways I purchased their AC delete plug and Antenna delete:)

Hey guys it’s been awhile since I posted an update on my bad ass car LOL, just wanted to mention a personal milestone with her is that she finally broke 1,000 miles on this new motor/trans. I’m celebrating with a beer and good oil pressure LOL, but anyways yesterday I hit a couple bumps in the road and broke an exhaust hanger which left a nice size hole in the exhaust I’ll need to fix, but I also re sprayed some interior panels today that I purchased from @performancepartout.com which were either cracked or broken in my car.

Got the passenger side re installed today, Wednesday I’ll work on the driver side gauges and A pillar and B pillar. Then I think this fall I’ll try and wire in an arc2 to this bastard 90 sob, per Marty’s instructions of course, but anyways I’m just thankful she’s still together and makin some JAM:)

Hey guys, Holy Crap it’s been awhile LOL. Not sure where to start, I haven’t driven the car in a couple months, mainly just due to weather. I finally got around to replacing some of the front suspension that I’ve been putting off for ever. I started with a pair of front lower control arms and outer tie rod ends I bought from RTM back in 2022.

IMG_1326.jpeg
Its been fun so far wrenching on the car again, I unfortunately ran to an unforeseen issue with the passenger side control arm. I can’t remember what brand these were from RTM or if they considered “economy” or not, but the driver side one which fit fine, was stamped CHINA LOL.

IMG_1339.jpeg
You can see how off it is, there’s no way it would work, I’m gonna order a Mevotech passenger side arm from rockauto this weekend that’ll hopefully fit. The tie rod ends came out great however.

I also grabbed some moog end links from Rock Auto:)

Yesterday I finished my REMAN power steering pump swap, again from RockAuto.
IMG_1342.jpeg
I opted for the all cast version, like my 90 OEM one, I’m hoping it doesn’t leak LOL but I won’t start the car and bleed it until my passenger side suspension is buttoned up.

Next up is the FUN part:D
IMG_1341.jpeg
I FINALLY got an ignition amplifier. 40 psi here we come!:rocks::rocks:

You're gonna love it! ❤️

Thanks Vic! I’m actually sticking with my Taylor “thundervolt” wires for now, I’ve heard that a cop setup does work nice in conjunction with an arc2, but maybe in the near future:) Another thing I’m doing this month I forgot to mention is changing the gear oil in the trans and sending out the injectors to FIC for cleaning/servicing, you know WINTER stuff LOL

So yesterday I got my old AC fuse box removed, along with re locating the vacuum port/bracket to a comfy spot on the firewall behind the Intake.
IMG_1355.jpeg
IMG_1354.jpeg
Today I got the arc2 mounted in its new home
IMG_1359.jpeg
IMG_1360.jpeg
Now the fun part of tearing into this bastard 90 wiring LOL, I’ll be following Marty’s posts along with the one danl made for guidance.
