i know it sounds ghetto as hell but its an idea... Is it possible to use a rev limiter that may be manually activated/ deactivated when lets say at 3500 RPMS as a launch control?

an aftermarket LC i found was like the MSD ignition boxes but for the prices i might as well just get the megasquirt... with tuning capabilities..

also yea i practiced launching in my uncles large parking garage... i dont track 60' times or anything or take it serious but just thought about a very inexpensive way to help others with a low budget and a useful mod

i'm 100% positive there is no easy way to do what you're talking about since the rev limiter is controlled by the ecu, and our ecu's are not "hacked" or decoaded.
unless you can figure out a way do do that i dont see how this could be done.

well the way that i thought about, was using a aftermarket rev limiter that you can adjust the limit (im at work now so i can really search around for some to post examples now) but if you can wire them up to your stock ignition to limit at 3500 "switched" then time to "un-switch" and launch..

i dont know just a friendly idea.. :/

The easiest way to do what you want would be to pick up a used MSD 2 box. They are digital, and allow the use of a trigger control for a two-step. ( you can set a button for say 3500 rpm for launch, then when your off the button itll turn off. - and this is all built into the MSD box. ) I use this on my Camaro, only that requires the use of a MSD 4 box. It works great, good luck
