rev limiter

Its ok. Link is a tuning program, the ignition controllers sometimes offer a rev limiter/launch control setup option.

If you dont have these or something else that lets you alter ecu settings/signals or interrupt spark, I believe you will not be able to adjust the rev limit.

If I may ask, why are you interested in changing it? Are you having a problem with revving or do you just want to have a 2 step sound or something?

it has a rev limiter but it like went away because if i try to do it now it just over revs how would i alter the ecu? with a laptop

What does it rev to now if left to run away? Where did it used to stop? This leaves me with a lot of questions..

Aftermarket spark systems often come with their own adjustable hardware. Flashing the ECU yourself to adjust ignition rev limiting would require something like ECMLink or a full standalone.

Its tuning software. Ecmlink uses your stock ecu, a standalone replaces it to give even more adjustability/control over engine functions.

It sounds like you have something your unaware of. You could pull the ecu to see if its chipped. Do you know of any mods on your car? Its impossible to have a rev limiter and it just disappears unless:

1)Your ecu is chipped, you didnt know, and it lost the tune, or...

2) You have some sort of spark amp/ignition controller installed with the option to control launch setup and something caused it to fail

Or your car had a mysterious problem that kept your revs in check and healed itself somehow, but I highly doubt that :)
