What's the difference between a 95 auto EPROM ECU and a 95 5spd EPROM ECU?

Will the tranny difference be the difference in the ECU? When i swap them things go wacko? The original ECU (in the car now) looks ok, but the other one looks better than the original one.

As soon as i swap the car starts but makes weird noises. When i turn the car off it makes a noise like something is hitting something, like a fan hitting a wire.

I want to keep it so i can run DSMLink on one and experiment with it. Its confusing because the trannys have a TCU, but could there still be a difference?

There is no difference between the auto and 5 speed ECU's. The TCU controls the transmisson, nothing else. You won't have any problems swapping between the two.

So my ecu is defective or needs to be repaired. I'll look again and check for suspicious marks and or burns.
