? Is this the sound of a failed fuel pump?

Fuel pump is a Walbro 255 HD in a 98 GSX.

I've been tracking a no start issue. It may be very obvious. Just wanted to see if this sounds familiar to anyone.
This is a start attempt. The clicking is from the two relays which I believe are MPI and Fuel Pump relay.
Car died on the road last week, then unable to start. I haven't had a fuel pump fail on me before.

It didn't have a wining sound, it just kept cranking, like the normal sound before it's about to start.
I did replace the cam position sensor (brand new 1g blacktop) from a 1g green top, about 200 miles ago, but saw no difference since.
Anything you've recently touched is suspect. At least make sure it's plugged in well.
I have it on to make repairs easier since it's a Cam/crank sensor. I thought hall effect would be better.
The power transistor was replaced just this summer with a new one.

The LinkEcu gauges are working, would that mean the ECU is transmitting?
? Could it be a bad Cam sensor?
? Do Cam sensors make noise when they fail?
? Do power transistors make noise when failing?
Did you actually check the timing marks and/or perform a compression check?

The fuel pressure shown is in the video below.
I tried it once before starting the video, where it went to 43 from about 20 from sitting for 2 days.

Yeah I see it at least the fuel pump is fine and can build the fuel pressure. But what about with cranking? Do you have the fuel pressure with cranking? (Not supplying 12v via the check connector)
You should delete the possibility one by one. Possibility of cause of no-start could be many. If you see the fuel pressure with cranking, then the fuel pump, MPI relay, fuel pump relay and its wirings are fine.

You have LinkECU, you should be able to see the cam/crank sensor signals by trigger scope. You should be able to see improper signal if the sensor(s) is failed.

I had it built by a shop and they did say they set it up like speed density.
I have Link G4X ECU and it supposedly has a MAP sensor built in I thought.
That makes no sense. Map sensor is...well a sensor. It has to be mounted somewhere to get a pressure signal and feed information to the ecu. It isn't part of the ecu itself.
Stock harness but modified to fit in Link ECU.

I’m guessing here but the newer ECUs have the map sensor built into the ECU case , like the speeduino I was not able to find a definitive answer on the link G4x .

OP can you log the sensors you have In your car ? Check them to see if any are failing .

UPDATE 3/1/2025. 5:37 pm

Thank you all for your help!

The problem was the Cam/Crank Sensor. It was bought new and it died in less than 100 miles of use!
I put a 1g green top CAS in and it started right up. I got the idle Fuel Ratio back to 14.7 and drove it about 5 miles just now no problems.
Definitely gonna return the bad CAS, it's clearly junk.
I will add a few more updates this weekend as I drive more.

Thanks, but I’m looking for the location of the ground for the fuel pump itself, the thread you linked me to only speaks to the fuel pump relay ground. I’m trying to find where on the body the fuel pump itself is grounded. I believe I have an open ground, as I can apply 12v to the connector on the firewall, but the fuel pump will not work. I can take the fuel pump out of the car, and apply 12v and a ground and it will work. I can configure the pump for constant on using ecm link, and can hear the fuel pump relay actuating, but the pump still won’t work. Thank for your help.
