Resolved 2G Bigger injectors, stock fuel pump, DSMLink possible?

Hello here's my question, I have DSMLink v3, a LC1 WB O2, and bought some FIC 1250s on a stock fuel system and stock t25 on 18psi.

Could I put those injectors in with a stock pump, ect?

My stock injectors are seeing about 90% duty cycle. I don't plan on turning the boost up more yet but going to swap in a 14b soon. I plan on getting an AFPR and a bigger pump in the near future, until then could I run like this with some leeway and lower IDC's?

You sure about that Bud? Like, really sure? What's the airflow of a T25 flow at 18 psi?

The pump is not actually holding you back according to the numbers, but it soon will be. An AFPR is not holding you back at all since you are still on a stock pump. Also, no need to bump up the fuel pressure since you already have larger injectors in hand.

According to the data I have on hand, other than the fact that boosting a T25 that high is just asking for it to blow up and is completely inefficient, the stock 2g pump unrewired will support it and the stock 450's will be taxed, but should be still under 100% IDC.

Your pump and afpr is whats holding you back..Get your 190 or larger installed with afpr..You will be able to get it done.

Now bump up the fuel pressure, and you can increase the injector size, it's that simple.

Like 50 psi fuel pressure on 450's equals like 470/480 of injector..There not going to last long most likely, but it can be done.

Yes, you should be able to install those items and be fine as is. Although, to be safe, I'd turn the boost down a bit, both to not kill the turbo and give you a bit more room until you get a bigger pump. On the other hand, you could rewire the stock pump and be just fine at current levels and even further.

He should install the 1250's and use ECMLink. As long as he runs the stock fuel pump he shouldn't need to have a AFPR just yet. So for me the answer would be yes, you can install what you have now and adjust your fuel settings in ECMLink to run and drive normally without any issues. However if/when you go upgrade your fuel pump you should have a AFPR installed.

Update - Snowborder beat me to it. If you are looking for a bigger turbo then send me a PM. I have 2 DSM's now and that's two too many so I'm part out my auto 1g which has a Evo 16g + manifold that's only been used for 3k miles, I purchased it new, no play what so ever.

No, I'm not. Sorry I was actually posting about when he gets the 14b installed.The T25, that's all you homie.

What's the airflow of a T25 @ 18 PSI. Hot air only comes to mind there. LOL

Well thanks for the quick replays, so I guess I will install them later. On a sidenote the turbo was at 18 psi not sure if it's a stuff waste gate (or maybe the stock exhaust creeping it up?) or what so I didn't even bother with running the lines to my electronic boost controller. I believe my other Talon that I'm parting has a 190 fuel pump so if I confirm that then I can install that and it shouldn't over run the stock fpr from what Ive read.

As for a bigger turbo yes I'm looking for one but I already have the 14b so that will get me by for now .

Off topic but since you guys know your turbos any idea what the thread size/pitch is on the 14b hot side? The 4 that go through the manifold I need to run a tap through one to clean it up.

I could attach a log but my boostest was off so not sure if that would mess with the flow . Switching to sd shorty so I will be able to log actual boost
 
I'm at 18 psi on stock non rewired fuel pump so stock it's more then enough for a t25 and there no point at going higher then 18 psi in a t25 I'm out side of its efficiency range as it is .

True, but there would some gains if you were to go e85. Then you would need the larger injectors you have and rewired pump. Alcohol is a wonderful thing haha
 
Yea that's why I went with 1250s only problem is the closest e85 station is an hour away tho my uncle drives out that way twice a week Maby if I get a bigger fuel cell of some sort he can pick it up for me.:thumb:
