Looks great, Bobby!

Can we expect to see alternator pulleys in the future? That would be great to have a few options for both DSM and Saturn versions.
Thanks.

as for ALT pullys yes. mainly on the OEM alts though as the GM versions already have options for them out there where as the 2G has nothing... so I'm going to concentrate on those currently. IF the market requests the GM I'm sure I can work up something for a batch to be made

I could be wrong but don't the 2G and Saturn alternator share the same shaft size? I thought only the 1G was different?

maybe but offset might be different and right now i wont know that to say otherwise

So turns out I was doing it ALL wrong so I found a new helper to fix it for me!!! maybe now it will stay broken???? haha

Things have been moving along at a steady pace. I made the new mounting bracket for the Aviaid OFH and then managed to get the lines all made up for it.

Since no one else seems to be using an external cooler I had to work out the routing based upon the info for the pump and housing.
So I got high pressure side to IN on the OFH to be filtered and then out to the oil cooler and from the cooler to the regulated IN port on the case. This means the oils filtered before entering the oil cooler which is what we want to happen. I also trimmed down the red spring a few mm in hope it does not add as much pre tension and create high Oil pressures! This should allow it to push the piston easily now the springs slightly shorter / less pre tension.i know how much i snipped off so can base that on the reading and adjust to suit later on.

I also managed to get my NEW rear charcoal canister setup all mounted in the trunk area now. I do need to order more AN line to raise it up some more so that when i fill up with fuel its not about the same level for the venting system. This will allow it to stay in the line vs into the canisters where it fills up and spills out. Its why vents need to be higher and im a fraction over but not enough clearly! So adjustments are needed for this.

Next up is a few things to adjust and swap out
* drain the oil fuel out and fill with fresh 99 oct fuel thats E free.
* Then change my compression arms over to my new ones I made
* Add the break in oil and lrime the engine
* Buy a new battery as its sat for so long i dont think this PC680 can be revived but im going to try during the week on my charger! 🤞

Oh and i bought my Talon home tonight so i have ALL 3 red cars in 1 spot! Never managed to do this before but wanted to take the Talon for a run tomorrow to work so thought a pic was right (even though the others are tucked up in bed 🥰🤣

WELL..... TOMORROW IS the day!!!

I am ready to have its first start up since it went down nearly 3 years ago. I did give up on it, but not because of hating the car, more so because the Driver that ruined it annoyed the hell out of me and then I concentrated FAR more on the DSM products, so combined, it made me lose a bit of interest. I would have been here a lot sooner, but the engine builder was really backed up so that took some time also to get done. as This could of been running by now, and i would be here maybe 6 months ago LOL

So I have now got everything connected that needs powering and have confirmed systems are a go!!! it all turns on and i can still prime the pumps (as i needed to remove the old fuel) This ethanol free fuel so very little damage would of been done inside the tank i made.

Tomorrow I need to add a dowty washer to the pan's plug to seal it and then I can finish by adding the BR40 oil I got for break-in.

I will be removing the Timing belt from the pump and then spin the pump by drill to prime the full system. here, I will check for oil leaks anywhere and see where the aviaid pressure is at, and i can adjust this in priming mode vs starting the engine. This is safer and has less chance of an issue with too much pressure in the oil system.

IF all goes well, I can then look to prime the fuel system again and give it a start attempt! NOW the tune has not changed at all so will be the same safe tune it once was! The differences now are larger cams and slightly ported head and compression bump.
Other than that, it's all the same, so I'm hoping it idles and runs fairly well and is close enough to run ok.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This part is to show you the REASONS for some of my block mods and you will see why I did them.

BLOCK MODS, you say??? whats those. Well, As I'm one for reading issues and how to make things as good as they could be I knew our drain system is not perfect. So for this reason, I went ahead and created recess portions in the block and this allows a smoother flowing oil way for the way back vs building up. Since you want it all as smooth as possible, it will help cover a larger surface area for the drains and allows a faster return to take place also.

Check out my pictures to see what I mean, and you will see why I opted to do this!

Plus a few snaps of the front with the bumper off. Just because 😁

Oh I totally understand LOL, that was mostly a tongue in cheek comment. You'll have a blast soaking it all up and I'm sure you'll stay busy at the booth!

🤣 I would love to do so much (mid-Ohio) is a llace i want to visit at some point also (with my DSM) so maybe oneday it can be planned out. I really hope the booth goes ok! My first ever event and getting the products and brand out to the masses will be a great (achievement unlocked) moment for me! Im in from the thursday to get settled in and leaving monday after the rush so i can sleep and chill before i depart back to FL. Nervous also at the same time as never done an event before

I have these alt pullys in production right now if you do require one. I have not listed them for sale yet. Let me know if you do want one. Its $135 shipped for the pully alone. You will need a new belt but depends on your other pullys you run what size it will be.

I shall do a bigger post at some point but its all running now! Woop woop.

Along my way i wanted a mid cover thats very easy to remove so I came up with this simple solution! Makes life alot easier and no mount is needing to be removed for this to fit! Flexible and fits nicely like this

The head stud part is a long grub with 2 hex welded together so they can get tight and then allow a bolt from the outside in. Simple yet glorious to use. Turns a 30min job into a few mins and no need to support the engine for the mount removal either 🤘🥳

After a LONG long time Its now all back together fully and its MOVES!!! I have all gears and works, minus a small stalling issue but that's due to the cams and needing to tweak the idle and tune a bit.

please check out the video and the progress and let me know what you think

so here it is! the first log on the new engine driving! while im having a hard time setting idle again (its very rich) the drive seems great and as i was driving the combined FT was nice in spec of about 0 but its just the idle thats the issue when i come to a stop or idle for a bit it goes all kinds of funky but thankfully did not stall this time!

I did a tweak on the injectors via the calculator for 1086cc vs 1100 or even 1200 as they are not that, before i had them set to 1055 and seemed fine and deadtime! well....... where they got 330 for it is junk! its no way near that! its pig rich if its at 330 LOL so i started off at 75 from the last settings and now down to 65! it seems much happier here currently. WHY its so far off though from the ecmtuning specs i dont know but somethings wrong on this data somewhere.

if anyone wishes to jump in and check the log out and give their thoughts Im all ears and eyes as long as I get an explanation of the adjustments so my brain can work with that and learn more also at the same time.

So today is the day!!! Both DSM's are now loaded and on their way to the USA! Will be arriving to Florida by the end of July so need to find someone local to Miami to have both transported to Orlando. But i got time to find some one for that hopefully.

Not much happening yet, got it on axle stands now as im going to do some checks since the build and run and check it all out.

Only other thing currently is i checked fitment of my new Stainless inspection cover plate. I wanted a nice looking once for some time now and finished it before I left but never had time to final check it. Looks real nice under there

Next steps is to get the car checked over and then get a plate on it as i wish to go to some cars and coffee meets in the 2G in the cooler months LOL (feels odd saying backwards things vs the UK)
