Been working on some small things here and there over the past few weeks. Got the fender liners and plastics all reinstalled. Got the intake all buttoned up onto the green. found some cool black clamps so figured what the hell.

I also ended up replacing the tranny mount bracket with a Boosted Fab unit as well. It bugged me that, that was the only stock bracket/mount, but now all is right in my world.

I also needed to lengthen my turbo oil drain line just a tiny bit as my existing one I made for the B16G wasn't fitting anymore. Added a few more inches and bolted her back up.

The fantastic news is that I started her up after I re-dialed in the idle tuning (TPS, ISC, Fuel Pressure, etc) and she idled perfectly at about 900-950rpms. No surge. Sounds great. Let her get up to operating temp and shut her down. Looked for leaks afterward and found a small oil leak at the oil filter/housing and at the thermostat housing. Tightened the therm housing a bit and that took care of that. With the oil filter and housing it was tough to tell if it was the oil filter, or the oil cooler. I did notice while I was in there last time, that the oil cooler gasket was pretty flat and the oil filter on there is new, but old at the same time, so I decided to replace both. I only use stock oil filters as well so I ordered up a few of them.

Figured I'd try to keep some of the hot parts from destroying non-hot parts, so I got some DEI heat shroud and Form-a-Barrier. I used the shroud to protect the alternator wiring and I'll try to fabricate a heat shield for the alternator itself at some point using the barrier material.

I did that and the leaks at the oil filter were eliminated. I didn't notice any others at this time, so I decided to get her on the ground and roll her out so I could rinse the multiple years of dust and grime off her. I just used a couple coats of GSG and rinsed a few times. The paint needs work, but she cleaned up well enough.

Have you been able to get into boost yet? Isn't the spool up sounds for the FP Green the best? Looking great man.
Nope, not yet. Still dialing in everything, though when I gave her a few good revs you can def hear it! So sexy...love that sound.

what paint/powdercoat is on that intake? i think youve inspired me to do something with my faded chrome injen intake... ;) love the build, ive been following for a couple months now!
