1g water neck inlet, aka lower water neck

So, I did some searching and could not find an answer. For my 6 bolt swap, i have a 1G head so i am using a 6 bolt thermostat and water pipe. For the thermostat, i have the water neck outlet, but i need the water neck inlet, also known as the lower water neck. Will a 2G water neck inlet work for my build? i can not find one online, only 2G's. Thanks!

It sounds like you're looking for the return from the radiator, as on a 2G, but I can't be absolutely sure. You know, assuming you aren't talking about where you pour coolant in...

Suffice it to say you need a complete 1G thermostat housing. Forget this upper and lower whatever, you need the whole thing and all of its bolt-on attachments that bolt to the side of the head. The lower radiator hose for this setup connects to the water pipe directly. You would need this with the appropriate sensors (not necessarily those shown):

1g's don't have a "lower water neck". The lower rad hose connects directly to the main water pipe. There's no provision on a 1g thermostat housing for a water neck outlet.

Ill post a pic of what I have. I have the housing, but i am not sure what connects to the back side.

+2 Yep, lower radiator hose connects directly to the water pipe on the water pump on my 1G.

Just so you know, don't go looking for a new 6-bolt lower half at retailers, I bought the last one in the US. There are still some top half's in inventory at JNZ, maybe others. Figured I'd save you some headache and wasted time.

Never know what some members might have stored away tho...'

Yea, I've had mine for 3 months. I didn't know anything about it when i bought it. I wanted to learn so i bought one figuring that would be the best way to learn. It's been rewarding.
