1g big rod classificaton question

My machinest had a question about the letters on the 6 bolt big rods. He was wondering what the letter after G 6 meant anything. Like a how it was balances ect. or if it doesnt mean anything. Does anyone here know anything about this? I tried searching but didnt come up with anything.

Those are just an identification number for the rod. What is it with retarded machinists today, i can't find one that knows there shit at all.
