I need a little help here, i am using some 1g rods with 2g pistons for my recent motor in my car, i took the rods and pistons into a local machine shop to have the small end of the rod enlarged 1mm to fit the 2g pistons on them, well the machinist told me that it wouldn's be a problem, so i take his word for it, also said they would be done in a couple of days, well days go by, than weeks, finally i go up to his shop, he tells me that he hasn't even pressed the old pistons off the rods because he hasn't figures out how to ream the end of the rod out. I immediatly demand that he give me my parts back, because i don't want to mess with some half ass stuff like that. So i take them to a mmore reputable machine shop in town. He tells me no problem, and that he will for sure be done with them in a couple of days, 2 weeks now, and i havn't heard anything. Doea anyone know of the machining process to bore the small end (the machine used, and the tools required) , so that i can go up into the shop, and be like here is what you need to do. This motor is for my every day driver, and i can't go that much longer without it. I just need to get it back together. Any help would be awsome.
