ok so im ganna start building my motor
and have been researching parts and all the different combinations
and wanted your guys input on the rod/piston combo i came up with
i am thinking of going with eagle rods with wiseco pistons
i am not looking to build an all out drag car but a street/drag car probably like most people hear im estimating my car will end up being 500 or 600 horse power
thats the range im aiming for
let me know if you think this will be a good rod/piston combo for my application
just incase it ends up putting out more horsepower than 5 or 6 will these support it
my last question is what compression ratio should i go with
and whats the difference in the ratios
all input will be greatly appreciated

thanks

You are going to probably want to run 8.5:1 compression if you are going to run on the street. yes wiesco and eagle is probably the most popular combo for street cars and work great for most. I personally like ross pistons and pauter rods. they are alot more expensive but it was well worth it for me. Downside is the pauter rods are kind of heavy compared to the eagles, but in my case it helped my turbo spool up in 1st gear.
