    Hey everyone,
my engine has been apart a long time and the person who took the engine apart (may or may not be me) did a bad job on bagging and tagging.

i am trying to see if i got the correct specs on the tensioner arm bolt, tensioner arm and idler pulley.

the FSM is straight up terrible and ASA is somewhat a help but if anyone here could help me that would be greatly appreciated.

    what I have is:

Tensioner Arm Bracket: Grade 7 non-flanged M8X16 with lock washer and plain washer
Tensioner Pulley: Grade 7 Flanged M10X33 with Plain Washer only
Idler Pulley: non-flanged grade 7 M10X22 with lock washer only.

can anyone on here confirm this or have a website that spells it out better?
i have done some digging but haven ben able to find a good resource,

    on an ASA note.
Does Washer assembled on the part spec always mean a non flanged bolt with lock washer?

    thanks,

The tensioner ARM should use a wide flat washer if I'm remembering right. It's the one that is hard for ME to find even in part out businesses. It is the one that holds the pivot ever so slightly to keep proper tension. I used 2 fender washers that I drilled to the proper size and its working just fine. I think that is maybe one of yours that calls for a plain flat washer. You want it to hold the bushing in the arm good and originals are a wide washer. Sorry IDK the part # or if it is even available. Someone else may know that and chime in tho.
Well hell, Tony probably has it in his post. Thanks T!

That link has the thread pitch and length. Not sure about the grade.

I'd say nearly always. I'm not at home with ASA so I can't check right now, but some specific bolts may show as washer assembled and actually include a larger O.D. flat washer as well as the lock washer. If you have ASA, check MF247249 and see what it says. The specific application I'm thinking of as an example is, on a 1990, one of three bolts for the cruise control motor mounting bracket.

There are plenty like this in the engine bay, this is just the first one I thought about.

EDIT: Checked this out and verified that ASA still shows MF247249 as a "washer assembled". So, goes to say, not all "washer assembled" bolts are only with a lock washer. :thumb:

I just left it at "Head Mark". :thumb:
