Build is awesome, good luck on that 10.5 pass, Then you will shoot for a 9 :thumb:

I agree, I predict a 9 second pass.

LOL at this point the only thing I am hoping for is for everything to stay together for more than a day! Getting this auto setup right has been killing me. 9's would be nice though but I think I am pretty far off.

Don't doubt your self. You can go and try. I always say make your goal high and settle or no less. So what you shooting for?

My goal every time I go to the track it just make a new best pass. It usually happens since I only go to the track when I change something. My previous best is 10.9@140 so I just want to go faster than that. Realistically Im hoping for 10.5 or better but I will be happy with anything better than the 10.9.

if you don't mind sharing, what oil pressure after the restricter are you seeing? im on a hx40 and planing to go past 35 psi this year

nice build by the way

Thanks. I think it goes to about 75psi or maybe 80. I rather runs little but more oil pressure than a little bit less. So far my turbo is good. I'm sure it still won't last long at 40lbs

update- motor is back together and in the car. Should be running tomorrow and maybe the track on Wednesday. Looking forward to it!

Boy did that not work out as planned. It seems that converter or trans got messed up as well with the down shift. When I went to bolt the flex plate to the converter it was binding like the converter wasnt in the trans all the way. After I confirmed it was i think the converter is ballooned or something causing it not to fit. Either way I've sourced another stock converter and it will be here friday. Hopefully that's the last of the problems!

Nice build man. These mitsu's really respond well to all types of mods. Reading this is making me want to take my build 1step further and more damn money. I hate you. Later

You get the auto sorted out yet?

not really. The car runs and is good but the shifting is still a problem. Im not sure if its the IPT shift kit or just the tranny itself now. It shifts 1-2 no problem but when I let it shift into 3rd through the digital delay box it downshifts still and when I try to shift to 4th it either doesnt shift, downshifts, or takes about 2-5 secs to shift into 4th. Really weird. I work 6 months out of state which just started so the car is parked until september unfortunately.

If you ever get the chance, definitely contact John from ipt he could definitely give you all the advice on what's up with the trans.

I'll be home soon working on the car again so I figured I would post some old videos so when I get some new times there will be something to compare it to. Besides, everyone likes watching videos LOL

I'm liking your fuel pump setup. I'm in the middle of my build at the moment also. Good luck with it man.

Im hoping I got all the issues sorted out with the auto and I have an appointment to get it retuned on Monday. After that, it's time to hit the 1/8mile track for some testing. I still have to find a way to keep it from pushing through the brakes though.

Here are some recent pics of the car.

The guys at IPT were no help what so ever. They did my valve body work but when it was having issues they wouldn't even answer the phones there.

I did talk with Kiggly who is awesome to deal with and Mark at Metro Trans who helped me out even though I didn't even spend money there. I had ATF (Automatic Transmission Factory) build the trans for me since they are 5 minutes away from my house but if I had to do it again, I would have shipped it to metro.

Either way, hopefully it will hold up mid 600whp and some 10sec passes.

Race car for sure:applause:

The engine bay looking clean, must wipe it down every time you drive it.

Now with the built tranny we should be a good race!

until i spool... LOL fgt :cool:ROFL
