108 MPH trap with 14B FWD

On a FWD your mostly out of gear at 105mph on a stock redline. Therefore you need to be closer to 110 to go 12's. Dead hooking on FWD's that drive to/from the track just doesn't happen. You have to HP your way to a good ET.

Do FWD's finish the quarter in 3rd?

And you can dead hook, it's just changing to slicks when you get to the track:) not DEAD hook but under 2.0 60 foot

I ran a 13.1 @105 without the nitrous, so I think it would be possible to run a high 12 with a 108 trap.

I use to before the nitrous. I was turning about 7-7,200 RPM going through the trap. I found every time i tried to shift into 4th it just cost me time because of the time it takes to shift and the fact that I was so close to end of the 1/4 before i wanted to shift.

It seems like the tranny is a huge factor in your case. However, your driving compensates a bad tranny. I am pretty sure with a good tranny and lsd you would be able to possibly get into high 12's with the 14b. How heavy is your car?

haven't weighed the car. All I took out the last time I was at the track was the spare tire, jack, and back seat. The times before I took out quite a bit more actually(door panels, passenger seat, headliner(had to come out anyways to get redone) other misc things).

1991 GST 14b, Nitto 555Rs, FMIC, 550cc, AFC, UIC, MBC set at 20psi with 114VP and +10deg BTDC on stock motor ran 1.88 60ft and 12.58 at 110.xx mph. Clayton Cobbs old FWD DSM.

I myself have ran 12.9x's at 105-7ish on 14b with MBC, clutch and no exhaust. 2.0 60ft on street tires.

Experiance, driving skill and getting in the groove helps too. And I usually bring the timing to 8-10deg BTDC on BPU 14b cars to take advantage of the mid range power. Full boost by 2500rpm or so and dies out earlier. 6500 into 2nd, 6k into 3rd and 5500 into 4th.

Was this at WIR in Kaukauna? I go there like once a month for RSD. Miss July and August so I will try to make it to the last one.

Like Danl say, you need horsepower to get a good ET. I use to own a 99 GST with 20g plus supporting mods back in 2001. Best I could do is 12.5@118 @20psi street tires on pump.

yea, unfortunately. I went to the last RSD. It was an RSD and high school night combined. I'm going back this next Friday(24th) with some HKS 264's installed and possibly a fidanza flywheel and better tranny.
