After the shootout we pulled the motor out of our black gt42 car for a little freshing since that motor has had over 150 5 second 1/8 passes. Last night we took the car out to the local 8.5 tire races and set a new pb sixty foot and et for the car. This pass was at 3000lbs race weight so needless to say we are very pleased.

Thanks to sinister speed for a great conveter and ipt for a rock solid trans for this car.

WOW, that's damn impressive!! I love the fact that people finally figured out how to make the DSM auto's hold up to some big power :) It's opened a whole new realm for people to start making giant leaps in performance in the DSM game. Which make me happy since as many know, the DSM's have almost been left and forgotten by the world since the intro of turbocharged EVo's to the US and the other flocks of high performance turbo and AWD cars that have been let loose on us.

Nice. Is this with the 300m tx case output shaft? Thats a lot of weight to be leaving that hard on mostly OEM parts, pretty impressive.

No this was a stock tcase that we have been racing all season on. We tried to hit it a little harder on the next pass and it finally broke a tcase. I think we have finally found the limit on a stock one.

WOW! You obviously know how to properly load and then apply power to the stock parts. 5.5 in the eighth is cooking in a 3000 pound car.

So this was on a 1G trans with the 10" convertor? Crazy time for a heavy car thats for sure.

Holy ####, 1.2 on a stock t/case. Jesse, What driveshaft are you using on the black car? If you are using the DSS alum one do you guys ever twist the splines on the stock size t/case slip joint?

Yes we r using a 3" alum dss drive shaft. Everyone we put on we twist. Lol we just dont separate them until it breaks.

As for records I have no idea, I can't keep up with all that.

Would this converter work well with a 62mm car without nitrous? Any testing on a street/small turbo setup?
