    Sorry this was just a test fit for the PS. I have the water pump pulley, just set aside. The first reply to this thread was correct and I've ordered the new belt. Thank you all for the help.

  • So while waiting for parts, I'm also going to pull the turbo tonight and swap out the turbine housing for the 1.01ar housing on it and see what we gain from that.

    Nope. No RTV or anything of the sorts. We had my Melett chra and another turbo from them on a completely different platform do the exact thing that we sold so a customer at my job.

    I've followed him forever and was both shocked and saddened when I watched the video. He's such a great guy and is so talented. Watching his DSM and other projects were great.Of course, best wishes to him and his family.

    You don't happen to use RTV on any of the drain fittings do you?There aren't really "seals" per say to go bad, if it's leaking on different cores, there's a problem elsewhere. A brand new turbo will leak oil if there's a restriction.

    It looks like only one pulley is present on the water pump when there should be two.

    It's not so much a different ECU connector as it is additional wires going to it and the changes you have to make to the wiring harness in the engine bay to support the turbo engine. Your car being a 90 does add to the process, hopefully the new...

    Your problem honestly could be as simple as the oil drain, Holsets need a bigger oil drain or they’ll smoke. Lots of info on the subject on this forum. Morrison has a very good bolt-on solution to address it.
