Whats good everyone? Im thinking of switching up my turbo setup a bit. Ive had an 7 blade hx35 on the car with a bep .70a/r t3 housing on the car for years. The turbo said it has served its time and started leaking oil and smoking.
I got an aftermarket chra from a reputable company but as I fired up the car it started leaking oil out of the turbine housing where the housing and chra meets up and down my downpipe. I took it out and got a refund. I tried another hx35 that was possibly a reman one. I got the same outcome. I got all new fittings and made a new return line and I got a new feed line.
I did a compression test and a leak down test and everything is all good. I got the original turbo rebuilt and it started leaking just as before. I even ran a 2mm restrictor and it still leaked. I put on an old 60-1 from a family member just to see if it a turbo issue or engine issue. With the 60-1 with the same feed and return the smoking and oil coming out of the turbo stopped.
At this point im just gonna get a different turbo but was wondering what you guys think about these choices.....
1. Pte 5858 gen 1 journal bearing
2. Hpt F2 5862 ball bearing
3. Gtx3582r
Each turbo will be t3 with v band outlet.
All has a .63 and .82 a/r housings.
I loved the characteristics of the hx35 in the .70 a/r.
My setup is kelford 272 high lift, kiggly beehive spring and titanium retainers, bronze valve guides, evo 3 intake manifold, 1g throttle body, stock block with balance shafts deleted. Car is only ran on 93 and its really just a toy. Street/strip really and truly. Which would be a good choice between these 3 and which a/r?

. If I go that route I guess im gonna have to go with the .63 a/r.
