Wont turn over

Ok i have a 1993 talon tsi and when i got the car the timing had gone so i sent the head in and had it machined and while i was at it i put a cometic head gasket and ARP head studs. I have it all put back together and went in and turned the key over a few times to set the timing and all the sudden it quit turning over almost like it was jamed up. Does anyone have an idea of what is going on.

what do you mean by set the timing? You have me all lost there...What exactly did you do when you set the timing?
