I have a 99 gst. I was cruising at about 60 and my car died. It rolled to a stop and everything was dead. I looked at the fuses and the ignition switch had blown so I swapped it for the power windows. I got my power back but when I tried to start the car it wouldn't turn over. It will crank but not start. Yesterday I installed a walbro 255hp fuel pump and an aeromotive fpr. I set the fuel preasure at idle to about 45. Is the fuel pump dead? Is the engine clogged with fuel? Motor blown? what should I look for

You probably blew more than one fuse as stated.
Rule out that possibility first, then move on to the next.
Check for spark as you crank it. Ground out the plug wires to the frame and see if they're sparking. Then check for fuel. Crack your fuel line and place it in a container then crank the car over and see if you're squirting fuel.

Take off your valve cover and see if any of your rockers popped off. If so you probly jumped timing and bent some valves. Thats what happend to me, I couldn't figure out why it wouldnt start and found out I bent all the intake valves.

Ok well the ignition is working. The spark plugs are sparking. but its not getting fuel. I think the fuel pump went bad because I can't hear it anymore when I put the key to ON. Any ideas on why it went bad? Its only 2 hours old. faulty pump? Also the engine still sounds terrible when trying to turn over.

Did you check your timing marks as suggested? How about removing the return line from the FPR to see if you have fuel reaching it?

first thing first, the fuel pressure should be 44psi without the vacuum line. I have a feeling your 45psi is with the vacuum line.

No start : fuel, spark or compression. Since you have fuel pressure, move on to checking for spark, make sure timing belt is still there and the marks lined up then perform a compression test if you have spark. There has been many suggestions here that needs to be followed up, if you don't know how to do some of these tests then ask, focus on these tests.

There is no fuel preasure. I cracked the return line to the fpr and no fuel came out. What marks would I be looking for on the timing belt, Ive never messed with timing. Also how do I do a compression test?

eclipses are famous for this. i got a 94 that wont turn over. at 1st i thought it was the timing belt but thats still good. im not sure what it is really, i havent looked at the whole car yet, and im gonna do an awd swap soon anyway. you should check your timing belt 1st though, then check the rockers

On 1G's, you can ground pin 7 of the MPI Relay and it turns the fuel pump on. I don't know if it works the same way on a 2G or not.
