What constitutes a "very light track day"?

Mmm I don't know why I said that but Im building an all around car that will see drag/autox/road racing for fun not trying to win trophies or have the most expensive brakes out there looking for the"best bang for the buck"so I want to buy the right brakes the first.

I guess you could say I wont be driving aggressively if that makes sense.

drag racing and track days counts as aggressive driving ROFL unless you just let you car sit in the pits. WTF

I'll disappoint some by saying there's no such car that will do all those thing real well. Only a car that will be a compromise of how thing should be done. Each use has its own distinct build qualities and demands. That being said so too do the brakes slowing them down. Drag racing and open track use are two very different ends of the spectrum.

The first thing that jumps to mind though is how you propose to fit most of these inside a 15" wheel when specs listed indicate only one, extreme possibly two, of these will fit?

If you can find a fitting 15 then the P2 kit would be as large as you can go. And rated for street / light track day use. If there is a compromise of all this, that's it.

From what I understand though, Wilwoods need to be rebuilt often. Best if 99gst_racer confirms this though.
Actually, it's quite the opposite. The Dynapro caliper that Wilwood uses in the 2G kit has sealed pistons to keep moisture, dirt, and debris out. They do well through time and the elements. The only weak point is the aluminum pistons. The are fine for normal use and light duty competition, but for severe duty applications and sustained high temps, Wilwood can swap SS pistons in. In either event though, these calipers are not prone to wear out quickly and need rebuilding often.

Thank you for the input. Its always best to hear from someone who has first hand experience.

To the OP, do you have your mind set on Wilwood's? Cobra and vr4 brake kits from RTM Racing are cheaper and have 13" Rotors.
