Whats up, me and my friend are working on a project, and I was wondering if a 6 bolt 2.0 N/A block can be used in place of a turbo 6 bolt turbo block? I was told that it would work, but their will be no oil squirters. The reason is their is a 2.0 cyclone N/A block at the junkyard and if we can use it then it would be great. Also is the 6 bolt N/A crankshast and the six bolt turbo crankshaft the same or are they different?

As long as you replace the internals with something that handle boost it will be fine. Oil squirters aren't needed so don't worry.

I was trying to find out the spec on the 2 block's. To me the rod's look the same. I am wondering about the compression. I no you have to change the front water pipe or add a water fitting and put 1 water fitting's in the water outlet for the turbo and the oil sending unit where the oil filter is. this needs to be changed . I am trying to find out about the compression and piston strength. I think the whole bottom end is the same except the piston but not sure.

rods are the same, crank is the same except for the notch for the flywheel, pistons are a lot weaker and 9.0:1 compression compared to 7.8:1 on 1g turbo's.

Weeker Because Of The Material Or The Compresion. WILL THE TURBO 6 BOLT FLYWHEEL FIT

I'm running a 6 bolt nt block and crank with turbo rods and pistons right now. Only reason I have the turbo rods installed right now because I didn't see the point in switching the pistons around since the rods themselves are the same.

Thank's I Will Just Build The Non Turbo Block And Put 2g Turbo Piston's In.
