hey guys i just picked up a 92 7 bolt block with everything in it for $10. i have a 6 bolt. if i buy a 6 bolt crank rods and pistons can i just sawp it out? im planning on building a fully built bottem end. thanks for the help.

No you cant, there two different engines. Just build the 7bolt. Since you got it for so cheap.

forgot he said that

do you have a 6 or 7 bolt in your car? if 7 are the front and back mounts on the block or tranny? if on the block i really dont see what the differences could be except the the crank, but i do remember the bearings also being differnent for the 6 and 7 bolts so maybe the size of them is also different

i have a 6 bolt in 3 of my cars and 2 blocks in the garage and 1 crank, my girl friend has a 94 with a 7 bolt and and 91 with a 2g 7 bolt. The rear main seals can be swapped but i don't know about the front main seals if it can the you would also have to switch the that oil pan too because were the oil pan meets the front main seal is flat on the 6 bolt and the 7 bolts have a hump
