If you want to do that, just pick up a 4G64 block and 100MM crank, that makes a 2.4 liter with the right combo, sell the rods and pistons and get stroker slugs or a G4CS 6 Bolt they dont have the same problems as the 4G63 7 bolt motors, maybe someone else will chime in.

I havent heard about crankwalk on a 4G64. Im pretty sure its non existent. not all 7 bolt cranked DSM motors are bad apples. Seems like people run when they hear 7 bolt. Fact is that if you dont set the thrust right any motor can crankwalk, but the 4G63 7 bolt just does it alot more.

With some creative selling of the pistons and rods you can buy the right combination to put together a good 6 bolt or 7 bolt motor. I wouldnt recommend staying with the 4G63 block and crank though, just by looking at its record for rebuild vs crankwalk incidents.

Your bad apple is that 7 bolt block, unless its a 4g64 you bought. you can buy a 100MM 7 bolt crank and try your luck with that. but I dont think its ever been determined if the block or the crank are the problem.
