Hey guys and girls,
Quick question... I went to a site that sells JE pistons for 6 and 7 bolt motors. It says 88 to 92 or 93 to 01. Now I thought the 93 was still a 6 bolt. Tell me if i'm wrong, but thats not the question. The question is I have 7 bolt JE pistons for a 96 TSI, will they fit in a 92 6 bolt motor? I looked up the specs and it says 8:5:1 85.50 mm .02 overbored on both. And the part number is one number off. Is there something that you can't see that would mess it up? Or is it just a marketing tactic, because I know when it comes to rods you absolutely have to have a 6 bolt if you have a 6 bolt. But looking over the specs of the pistons alone I can't see a difference.
I need help.
Thanks
