Resolved 7 bolt block 6 bolt head?

Ok so I bought my car with a broken timing belt. I have bent valves. I have a 6 bolt block and head I'm just wanting to use the 6 bolt head on my 7 bolt block as I plan to build the 6 bolt sometime. So here's what I think I need off the 6 bolt engine. Head, intake, cas. What do I use for timing components? 7 bolt?? Other then that would it be like doing a 6 bolt swap? Except I don't have to modify my motor mount?

I assume that you are talking about a 2g 4G63 7 bolt. If so, you will need the the 1g intake manifold, water pipe, thermostat housing and cam sensor. All timing components will be for the 7 bolt since that is what the bottom end is. You will also likely want to use the 1g coil pack and transistor so that it will properly bolt up to your intake manifold.

If your planning on putting a 6 bolt head on a 7 bolt your going to need the complete 6 bolt head doesn't matter what head gasket/timing belt you use there the same for 6 and 7 bolt. i used a non turbo water pipe on a 1g because the turbo ones have a threaded hole on the bottom that got in the way of my turbo mounting. Use a 1g intake and TB. the 1g cas is a simple wire up. the only problem i had was that the 1g intake sets back a little farther and a little higher so my bov hit on the underside of the hood.
