Will this valve spring compressor work?

no it wont. i had the same one and it took me 2 and a half hours to get one spring off. There is one for sale on ebay that works well. Same as link above.

If you are taking the valves out then you can just put a socket on top of the big retainer and smack it with a hammer a couple of times (use your balls) and the retainers will pop out and it will come apart.

Puttin it back together is another story though.....

The question is that simple.

I tried one of those and it didn't fit. I bought that Euro Export tool and it worked like a charm. I see you're in state college. If you're up for driving down to York, PA you can use my valvespring tool.

Toss me a PM.

Yeah, all I'm trying to do is replace the valve stem seals while the head is attached. The cams will already be out for an upgrade. It will be going back together within minutes of it being taken apart. My car is my DD, and this is all being done over a weekend along with a shift kit install.

You sir have been PM'd.

I have used the Toyotool one. I own it and it works pretty good. You do have to put some force into it though. More than that guy on the Toyo vid, or maybe he's just stronger. LOL

I recommend it. Now that I look, the Snap-On looks almost identical and half the price...
