I am getting ready to buy a valve spring compressor to replace my valve guide seals. I was wondering does anyone know the difference between the 2 schley valve spring compressors. There is a sp-91400 Schley Products (SP 91400) Universal Valve Sping Compressor - SP 91400 and the sp-91400a Schley Products 91400A Universal OHC Valve Spring Compressor Order#SP 91400A www.TheToolWarehouse.Net
I didn't know which one to buy and has anyone every used these different models.
Any info would be great
Thanks Mike

+1 another here about to do springs. but i want to keep the head on. I'll use rope to secure the valves in place ( i get frustrated using air to try and keep em up)

Anyway, what's the best tool(out of hwat he linked up) for doing them with the head on?

And last..Who has the best price and service where i can find some beehive springs... I've heard nothing but good about them and I have seen too many broken inners on the "double spring" style kits in the past on a friends DSM. We changed 2 sets before going with different brand, i thin we got crowers version in there now. Not my car not 100% sure

Thanks for the info and the help!

I talked to Joe from there and he said either of the 2 will work. The 91400A is an improved model of our original 91400. The difference is the depressing arm is fixed with a slider block to the main bar.
Either model should work on your engine. Thanks again for your help.
