Why would my car run right when I take off the air filter?

Will the car idle really low and shitty if there's a super dirty filter

It's weird if I let my car warm up on a hotel owner on my afc1 then switch it over to an Egyptian village it idles perfect the needles at 1000. Any one else know why and if I try to first start it on karmen the idle will jump up and down then settle out at like 750.
Oh, and replace the air filter before your turbo ingests something other than air.
Exactly..Not on any DSM I've ever seen. You need to do a little research on the Kármán Vortex Mass Airflow metering system.A mass air flow has a wire it that heats up to 390 degrees , when passes over it to cool the wire down ,it heats it self back to 390 degrees that is how it measures air coming into the engine.it gets feed back from the o2 sensor. if one is off everything is off. there are other sensors that factor into this like the coolant temp sensor. clean the air filter or buy a new one.
Sounds like GM, or similar domestic MAF stuff...they use that hot wire googag.. We use the Karman Vortex setups..in stock to light modded form.wire it that heats up to 390 degrees
I've been running mine without a filter for over 7k miles now.
I wouldn't recommend it but it can be done.
