mabye i am wrong on this.
the "AC FAN" doesnt actually function as part of the air cond unit, it just adds extra cooling for running the AC at idle or whatever.

at idle with the AC on, the temp will rise a little, but normal driving, no change in temp.

the AC cooling system uses ambient air only to cool the ac junk right?

When the A/C compressor comes on it put's a bit of an additional load on the engine. On top of that the condenser causes more heat to have to be exchange when you turn the A/C on so the car has to try and cool an additional item.

If you really want to get rid of the second fan give it a shot and see what happens. In your climate it may not be an issue but you also may have problems as well. Personally I don't see the need or benefit.

My a/c fan broke and went through my radiator and i replaced the radiator but the fans still broke so i unhooked it and i run my a/c most of the time and have had no problems with it getting above half way on the temp gauge.

its out, because my turbo is way big and ext manifold mounted gate.

havent got a slim yet, just wanted run ac til then

I know your setup & mine are as different as oranges & hockey sticks, but my driver-side fan wouldn't fit either, and I have had no problems for almost a year, so far. Fmic may hurt you a bit.
