With my current setup, would I be able to run without the transfer case on? I know I'd need a welded center diff or some VCE, but with a 4 spyder is it any similar at all?

I'm really bored and just wondering because it'd be pretty fun to know what it is like for some of the FWD turbo guys, haha.

Hey Chris,

I believe that on the dyno or going in a 100% straight line, where the wheels (right and left) are controlled at the same speed, it would work as a center diff spool so to speak. But on the road where it may want to spin one or the other, I would think that it would attempt to transfer power through the output shaft going to the tcase and give you some problems. I have used a SPOOL before in fwd only driving to a dyno. That gets scarry. I dont know how the fwd guys do it. Any gas and its spin city, not even fun.

Long story short, I dont think you would have very good results.

you will need a center diff spool, vce, or welded center diff, period. A 4-spider diff alone is not the same. You will need to remove your t-case and your entire driveshaft. Your car will then be front wheel drive you can turn it go straight, whatever. If your like me you will have traction problems in third gear.

Ok, so basically without the spool, welded center diff, or a vce I can't do this? I'm really just asking out of curiosity and not being serious. I had to remove the driveshaft for a quick tow home and just thought it'd be hilarious for a while. Thanks for the answers!

so i can drive it till me new rear end comes in 2 weeks so any
