Why won't it start?

I have been working on a 92 Laser RS, and we have all the wiring hooked up and we made sure the timing was all right but,when we go to start it, the belts turn, but there is no ignition. We checked the spark plugs, they're working, fuel is getting through the fuel rail. My buddy thinks it could be the injectors b/c he doesn't hear a clicking sound when we try to start it, any suggestions? thank you!

You have spark for sure. but how do you know there's fuel in the rail? do you have a pressure gage on the regulator?

relieve the pressure in your fuel system and check again.

i let the car sit overnight so the FPR read 0, then tried again and it read 40PSI and i also took one end of the rail off and fuel was definatly getting in, the engine turns, there is fuel, there is spark, but no fire. i'm at a loss

Do you have another ecu sitting around..I had a no start last week..I knew I had spark and fuel, cause it ran when I parked it..Turned out the ecu took a shit on me..If you have a buddy around your area..Have him come by and swap in his ecu and see if it starts..

i have an ECU from a FWD >.< would that work just to see if it'll start?

As long as it's a turbo ecu..It should start it if the ecu is the problem..

While your ecu is out I would also open it up and inspect it for damage..

Also take a listen and make sure your MPI relay is working (clicking after you turn the ignition off).

You can also check to make sure the coolant tempsensor is hooked up. if theres no coolant temp signal to the ecu it usually wont start.

huh, i'll check the coolant sensor tomorrow aswell, we got a slightly mroe umphy noise, but battery died T.T so its charging, once its charged i'll try to start over, do you know which way the wires have to be hooked on the coolant sensor thing? i noticed it has a yellow and a green, or is that something else?

I tried everything but i'm starting to think its the starter because when i went to start it it made a clicking noise, and the lights flickered, i thought it was just b/c the battery might be dead, but after battery charged for 4 hours still same thing
