Ok I am having a issue witht he crappy goodyear eagle RS-a's that i got on my car. They are good for just driving around but suck when you try to push them. I'm looking for something that is a great street tire but provides a lot of grip, and doesn't cost like $200 a tire. Any info would help.

Thanks,
Lewis

I like the Kumho MX or Supra, good dry performance, quite, and cheap. I think it's one of the best value tires out there.

i would suggest BFGoodrich G-Force KDW (the one with the new tread design) i just got these and they are insanely good. Back with my bald RS-A's any launch that would chirp or spin tires for a second dont even phase the Gforce's. Also in the rain i have yet to hydroplane at all, the only time i got a hint of hydroplaning is when i go thru 1-2inch puddles at 30+mph. Also they are very "predictable" you know when you are about to slip in turns. But FYI if you wanna drift dont get these tires, they simply grip too well :thumb:

I think ive ranted long enough, im just so impressed by these tires over the stock tires. I got them for 131.00 a piece from Sams club (dont laugh) and install + balance ended up totalling 600$. I do have 17inch rims so they prolly costed a lot more for me than for someone with stockers

Try Fulda Quantum Elites. I just bought a set and damn what a grip they have also looko at my mods I dont spin second anymore and first gear I get grip and slip but I can launch at 4200 and still get enough grip.

i have also been looking into tires mine are pretty bald right now.... i like how everyone puts in there opinions on what's a good tire to go with but is there any one tire that is proven to be the best for the money?

How do you define best? That is the problem. Some of the tires mentioned above have amazing dry traction but have horrible wet traction. Some are extremely sticky but have horrible tire wear. There is a different tire for every situation, so that is why everyone has their own opinion.

I have the Hankook Ventus RS2 and so far feel comparable to the Azenis in the dry but the Azenis doesn't come close in the wet. BFG G Force KDW is a great tire also. Yoki avs es100 is a very good tire also. If you can afford them the Potenza so3 is the best, I had a set on my Civic and they were by far the best tires I've ever had but cost twice as much as my Hankooks.
