Which Aftermarke Air Filter? K&N? eBay? [Merged 11-7]

Does anybody know where I can get a new Injen Air Filter? I want to get a new one because mine is getting too dirty to clean.

FIPK = Fuel Injection Performance Kit, so called because K&N makes a lot of carbuerated motor air filters, so they specifiy that this one is for a fuel injected car. You might say that they're, ahh, behind the times.

So:

Fuel Injection - well, yeah, it's for a fuel injected car. Duh.
Performance - Well, yeah... it's a performance part. Duh.
Kit - um. Filter and a fitting. Okay. It's a kit. Whatever.

Hence, FIPK is an absolutely meaningless term which K&N pulled out of their ass. But I think it's fun to try to pronounce it phonetically. "I got me a fippik!"

You can also get a cone filter and adapter off eBay for $25 instead of K&N's $120.

Get whats trusted. spend the extra 20$ for a kn filter. You cant go wrong with whats been proven.

the off-brand ones are not as good of quality and are more cheaply made.

If you go for the eBay, get the one with the aluminum adapter; the plastic one is a smaller-diameter adapter. And with the eBay, you'll probably have to sink another $5 in making a bracket and getting fasteners.

I'm cheap, too. It's like a hobby.
