What is a good site online, that I can good a good price on a K&N FIPK for my car?

I don't see the inside of the thing. That's why I was wondering if there is an insert that just holds the cap and some form of internals that connect to the flange or if there was something more to it. I'm not trying to be jerk about this, I'm just on a really tight budget and if I can sneak in a FIPK and upgraded intake for under $100, that's feasible to my budget, otherwise, I'm getting the $50 all in one ebay typical package like you posted before.

If you're really on a budget, I wouldn't even consider the fipk. Just get the $50 intake package.

$50 - intake and filter, no name brand

or.......

~$100 - K&N filter only

Seems like a no brainer to me.

I am a new owner of a '96 Talon n/t, and I am interested in adding the K&N FIPK to my intake. This kit includes only the typical conical air filter and a mounting bracket to attach directly to the MAS. Essentially, all components of the intake remain stock from the MAS back. Here is a link to the product on the K&N site for clarification:

My concern is whether or not this kit will fit a NON-TURBO Talon. Is the MAS and its location identical in turbo and n/t models? Any help would be appreciated.

That kit is not going to fit for non turbos do not have a MAS..I believe. Go on ebay to look for deals; some are crap and some are good.

For the best value and equal performance; get a cheap eBay intake of your liking, and replace the filter with a K&N, Dryflow, or foam element filter.

Wow, I feel stupid if the n/t's don't have the MAS. I came home from school to buy the car and had to go straight back without roaming around under the hood.

Is it really that much more worth it to get the K&N FIPK?

What's the difference between the K&N FIPK or PMP's Intake Kit?

I'm only asking because it's about a $100 price difference and Jason from PMP claims that his kit is just as good as the FIPK and that the only difference in the two is that their filter is a little more round than the oval shape of the FIPK.

Any input is good input! Thanks!

I'm not familiar with the PMP intake kit. A brief google didn't give me much to go on either.

But I own the K&N FIPK and it is certainly a quality part. I bought mine because I live in CA and it comes with a CARB E.O. number. But it was also around $100.

So if this PMP kit is also a fine quality part and its $100 less than the K&N, its possible that you might get it for free?

Well, I have a VR-4 now. And I can use the 2G DSM aircharger on the VR-4.

FIPK for the VR-4 is $180.
