yea I bought the filter and was gonna make the adapter but got lazy and just ordered it and it ended up being like $40 cheaper then getting the kit.

I'm impressed they sold it separately. How much did they charge? The filter itself can be had for $50 or less and the entire package is impossible to find much under $120. But I hear you don't get the CARB sticker on the replacement filters, as with the full FIPK.

I just bought a used FIPK filter from someone on the link forums and he sent it without the adapter. Great...

Called K&N and they want $40 + shipping for the adapter. Not worth it at all. I'm not sure how you sweet talked them into giving it to you for free but I'm seriously about to throw this shit in the garbage. It's completely useless without that adapter and I've never seen one for sale separately, ebay included.

Don't make it hard. Call to see because you don't want to spend money on something you don't want. For me I would just buy it since they say the adapter is for the fipk kit and they even provided a part number which leads to the intake filter itself.

No actually this year the carb sticker is out of date. My car wasn't able to smog with it so I had to change back to stock.

edit:
eeem the previous post said they called and got it for free. Try doing that.
