o.k. so imnew to dsm cars and to the whole tuner thing in general. my question is this. when going from a n\a to turbo, what things need to be done. or can the stock 420a handle boost at around 14 psi? i am debating going turbo but i know it cant be as easy as just bolting on a t3/t4 setup with the intercooler and drivng the car for long right? to be more clear, i know basicly how to hook up a turbo system and the intercooler, but what about pistons, rings , copper gaskets, fuel systems, ext. i know all these are in other threads but i couldnt find them and i thought it would be cool to have it in one place.:talon:

Piece together your own kit so you know exactly whats in the kit. It may come out to be cheaper too.

I know hahn racecraft sells a kit, its not cheap but it'll probably be worth it if you got the money. My opinion, I would just sell the car and buy a turbo version, its easier to upgrade and you can get alot more power out of it. But if you want to keep the 420g then yea hahn is def. the way to go.:thumb:

Search. I am more then sure that this question has been answered.

Been asked a ton of times already. Read until your eyeballs bleed and then keep reading. Then you're ready to begin shelling out cash.

The stock bottom end, when in decent repair, has been known to hold around 12psi, given enough fuel. Perhaps more with full and proper tuning. (MSnS) The common and inexpensive "255lph + 235cc + 12:1 FMU" combo will provide enough fuel for about 8psi of boost.

Please read through the section that Eric linked you to previously.

sell the car and use the money you would be using to turbo it to buy a turbo car to begin with. ALOT less headaches and a better platform.
