what intake pipe are you using

I'm using a non-MAF Dejon Tool 4" pipe.

What is your real question? Are your trying to figure out the best pipe out there? If you are on the stock turbo just get the eBay "chrome intake" pipe. It's $50 or so.

From what I've experienced there's no such thing as too big an intake pipe. With that said I also have the "standard" 2.25"-3" expansion pipe, I'd like to upgrade that even on my 14b setup. Also keep in mind if you're working with a stock maf setup that will limit your intake options.

I've been stock for awhile but my car is torn apart so I'm not running anything, LOL. I think I'm going with the dejon pipe though, I haven't 100% decided on my setup yet so I'm not ordering anything until I do.

I got the Dejon 2G mas matted to a apexi power air filter... the only issue that i came across with my set up is the lack of space, it is very tight.

running injen...with 2" j-pipe to 2.5" before the intercooler...cant imagine running 4", i had a hard enough time routing the 2.5"...not to mention the 16g would take a lil more time to pressurize the bigger pipes or intercooler

This pipe? If so, any pictures of it installed? This is a lot cheaper than the dejon pipe.

I had bought the intake pipe in this kit, but I do not see this "Injen style" pipe offered by itself on their website anymore. The kit is quite a bit more costly than only the pipe. The 3" pipe you referred to looks good, yet it lacks the valve cover breather hose's nipple, as well as the wastegate solenoid hose's nipple (which I capped anyway). So, I do not have any pictures of the 3" pipe installed.

Another choice could be this one.

4" seems to be way overkill for any mitsu turbos. pboglio had some nice results going from 4" name brand to a smaller 3" intake. something like .5lbs/min

Thank you! That was an excellent read. I would venture, as they stated in that thread, that the merge from a larger pipe to the smaller inlet of the turbo creates the issue with using larger piping. Provided you use a gradual merge to the inlet of the turbo a larger pipe will still provide you with benefits. :thumb:
