what intake pipe are you using for your dsm?

Thank you! That was an excellent read. I would venture, as they stated in that thread, that the merge from a larger pipe to the smaller inlet of the turbo creates the issue with using larger piping. Provided you use a gradual merge to the inlet of the turbo a larger pipe will still provide you with benefits.

No prob. Yea it seemed the culprit was the 4" - 2.5" coupler. But yea i found alot of useful info in that thread that would probably carry over to all mitsu or hell all small frame turbos really.

4" seems to be way overkill for any mitsu turbos. pboglio had some nice results going from 4" name brand to a smaller 3" intake. something like .5lbs/min

I run the Injen Intake on my stock turbo, recirculated and stock MAS, and BTW if your looking at an ebay chrome air intake, buy it now. Not too long ago they were $90. Now there back down at $50.

I'v ran both Injen intake and Dejon tool intake, recirculated and stock MAS

I love the Dejon tool over the injen. I first bought the injen but had fitment issues with it, it was abit to long causing me to use a smaller air filer
plus the recirculation pipe is off abit making it a real bi*** to get that thing reconnected to the BOV

the Dejon tool was a prefect fit! it was bigger and fit better.

I am running pvc piping from home depot a couple of 3 inch 45s with a drilled and sealed recirc hole and the 1g maf i sealed it up with pvc sealant and put a fernco coupler on the end holds 30 psi just fine no leaks

AEM cold air
