I feel like my t-bolt clamps (CX racing) are stretching or just suck. Ill go back and check them every two weeks or so and they are always semi tight. What brand clamps are you using or recommend?

My ICP(Insane Clown Posse) clamps I usually get from extreme. I believe they are clampco and very good quality.

i second clampco or if you have any local diesal truck parts shops they usually have them good quality and not too expensive

I went with PRE Clamps, they are heavy duty.

On a regular clamp, the nut is 7/16 and the bolt is around 12, the bolt is tight up to the clamp and the nut is the one that tights up:; PRE clamps are backwards, the nut is tight up to the clam and the bolt is the one you turn to tight it up, the bolt I be leave is 14 with a 13mm head,.. Man if they are strong, I over tight one and bend the end of the pipe, It was not bed it though, But they are super strong.:rocks:

Just ask for heavy duty clamps or Mikalor T-Bolt Clamps and this is what you will get. :sneaky:

My Punishmet Racing T-Bolt clamps have always held tight. I know PR uses a CX Racing intercooler core, but the clamps are much better than your typical eBay brand. They use self locking nuts so they won't back off over time.

Why not just add a Dan of loctite onto the bolt and nut when you tighten it up. If the clamps are functional in holding pressure then some loctite should solve the problem and you can still take them off easily in the future. I would recommend spraying the old loctite off with carb cleaner before reinstalling though to keep things fresh and clean.

There really is no need to spend money on new clamps when there is nothing really that wrong with your current ones. Save the money for something else.

I haven't had any issues with my CX racing clamps coming loose. I run 35 psi and BLT to 40 and they hold fine. Do yours have nylock nuts?

I have recently gotten some from siliconeintakes.com & Advance Auto Parts. Both are similar to all the rest I have seen...

I believe they are nylock nuts. The only clamps im having trouble with are the in and out to the intercooler. My core is secured and wont move at all. I didnt realize it till I started getting a boost leak from there and since ive checked twice and both times they need a full revolution or two to snug them back up.

Im only running 19psi on my Frank3 20G so I dont think boost is playing a factor into it backing off
