Replaced both rear hatch struts due to factory ones that finally shit the bed....
Cleared both drains on my rear area from tons of dirt and debris that was in them causing my trunk to leak..
Gutted my entire trunk and rear passenger area, next I'm going to take to a car wash vacuum area and clean out all the gunk and crud out of the back , bring home and wipe every single piece down...

Then plasti dipping all my rear interior panels black when the weather gets nicer and putting it all back together

Priced out parts for inspection. .. upper and lower front control arms, sway bar links, tie rod ends and a rear upper control arm knuckle.. sucks balls.. like $350 for parts alone. Good thing spring break starts monday, now if only uncle sam will give me what he owes me so I can get to work on it.

Fluids on order, started electrical testing and final re-assembly today.

This is still got to be one of if not my favorite visual aspect of the car ony made better by the ceramic coating on the pipes and black anodized bezel:

Went on a mountain run last night. Stopped at the top and had to let the car sit and run for 20+ min. Turbo was glowing cherry red. Think I need water lines back on now.

Is your turbo water cooled land speed?

What's your air fuel ratio under load? Might be a tad lean

Its actually alil rich due to pre-turbine leaks. I tuned it close to reading stoich with the leaks, And I wasn't logging, so idk. And I'm not using a wideband. Haven't bought one yet. Tuning by fuel trims. Target afr is low tens though. Just been driving it really, first time I've run it hard in a long time. Probably be the last till I can fix all the bugs so I can tune better.
bought a hardtop gst the other week and gonna fix up the suspension and chassis on it then swap in my stuff and drive it.
Getting coilovers, 8lb flywheel, evo 8 MR turbo to get the bigger turbine housing, gotta plane the flanges on my manifold when it comes off, bunch off other stuff.
Might just get the spyder running for my daily and refresh/maybe build the spare engine and build the head. Idk I might just fix and sell the spyder for money but I've kinda always wanted one so maybe not.

That is nice and you won't need to look at a log or glance at the WB to know you're AFR's are too rich. ;)

:dsm:

Haha thanks! I'll probably be able to run my finger across the windshield and gauge it by soot thickness. LOL

Rich with low timing can run your EGT up too. A big part of the reason I'm taking pre and post turbine EGT

My HX52 is not watercooled, my wastegates are though LOL

timing is 8° but near the top I started fighting knock alot. So that may have been what heated it up. boost dropped to 12 from 16 to so a popped a leak somewhere, thankfully I don't use a maf anymore.

I put a quart of oil in it, as I have to do every morning. She leaks putty good and I've replaced the valve cover gasket, it held all oil for about a week. Then went back to its old ways. Always steams and smells like oil, especially when I get on her.

So i did this stuff over the last month or so; just got it on the road this weekend. I was chasing an oil leak that went from drip drip to sprayin after i installed 550 injectors and a 2nd gen maf.

replaced front cover gasket
oil filter housing gasket
oil pan gasket
valve cover gasket
replaced timing belt
swap 14b to 16g ebay turbo
swap stock exhaust mani to tubular header

Just finished my vrsf fmic install. Amazing how fun it is to deal with 20 yo fasteners. Broke nearly half of them. And now im chasing a boost leak. Pretty sure its at the j pipe. Still need to install my knock sensor
