If I bought a good turbo, I would've had no money left for supporting mods. YEAH, FP BLACK!!!! But my injectors can't spool it and it ran my engine too lean and I melted my brand new pistons!!! Plus, it only has to make it to the start of fire season in two months

Sounds like you need a new hobby. :ohdamn:

Nah, man. Your supporting mods are can go pretty good but too bad about the pistons melting, even though cars are piston free. My engines once ran just as lean for a while, but thankfully Mitsubishi, boy they can make a mean injector for that do black. That's the only thing I would ever consider running anymore.

True story bro :p

To clarify, this was my attempt at sarcasm in response to getting bashed for buying a cheap turbo.

Hey man, its alright. I was just messin with ya anyways. I think a lot of guys on here will give you a hard time because you spent money on nice mods and went cheap with the most important component, the turbo. Really decent used real turbos can be had around the classifieds for about the same price as the knockoffs on eBay.

Good luck on your car man.

I got to open a whole bunch of boxes today. Got my wideband, new boost gauge, gauge pod, braided clutch line, injectors, timing tool, and fuel tank gasket all from ExtremePSI. Got my shift light and fuel pump rewire packages in today too. Its like Christmas in February. Still waiting on My pedals to come back, ECMLink, My PR O2 housing, downpipe, muffler, and a few other goodies. Most of them should be here this week.

Sounds good to me. Really hope its that simple. I'm getting my ass kicked by a stock temp gauge.. Anyways, ty
What year/model DSM? PM me a good email address I'll send you a wiring diagram of that circuit so you can find the short that's popping the fuse.

My manual boost controller came in the mail today. Also, ECMTuning emailed me to inform me that I had a Non-Turbo ECU in my car. I never realized it was missing the knock board when I looked at it. I just caw the eprom. Kind of scary, and at the same time explains some of my running issues. Well, it was a non-turbo. It has now been converted. :hellyeah:

installed custom rear crash bar and did the rear swap from 1ga eclipse to 1gb talon.

I'm hoping I can keep at least one stock fan.

Turns out I didn't fit one fan... I fit both!

The oil line will be adjusted and the -4an male fitting is now removed. I had hopes of running water lines to the wastegate, but due to the H1E having a ridiculous compressor cover I had to completely remove the banjo fitting on the block.

I also beefed up the PCV system. No more PCV valve, just a bunch of 1/2" hose and a catch can.

I give that fan a few thousand miles and a couple passes at the track before those plastic blades are melted. That's great you got it to fit, just don't be surprised if you start seeing higher coolant temps and pop the hood to find a radiator fan that looks like melted candle wax.

Can't wait to see the numbers you get out of that Holset!

I got my 3" downpipe, PR dumped O2 housing, power inverter, timing set and ECU yesterday. Today I ran down to the store and got a pipe to route the dump away from everything. I put the O2 housing, and downpipe together to make sure they mated well. Looked great. Even stuck the dump extension on. I think its going to be pretty darn good when everything finally gets onto the car.

Wow, I didn't expect that much heat from the wastegate. Guess I'd still be better off running just the engine fan. Thanks for the help and support!
