Get a harness bar to fix the angle, or roll cage, as long as the first angle is above the 45 degree mark, it can go down to the bolt holes. Thats what I have in my civic.

Vht flame proofed my .70 ar bep housing so it won't rust. Decide on vht instead of swaine tech simply due to the cost of shipping internationally plus the cost of the coating. Should last cause I'll be baking in the oven

Don't just bake it at XXX*, cycle it, i.e., 200* for 15 minutes, let it cool to room temp, 300* for 15 minutes, let it cool to room temp, 450* for 15 minutes, etc.

In the past I used VHT on the stock exhaust manifold heat shield and I baked it at 450* for 20 minutes, it lasted a month. The second time I cycle baked it and the paint lasted forever, the only place it started to chip up was where the bolts held it to the manifold and that still took over a year.

Don't forget prep, that's still 90% of it.

My heat painted manifold, o2,turbine housing is just now starting to rust..

So like Corey said Prep is 90%..And heat cycling also helps keep the coating on..Make sure your windows are open if you bake your parts tho..Just a little tip,from a true story..

crunk up the talon for the first time since the build today. couldn't keep it running because I haven't hooked up all the vac lines yet and it was leaking oil from the oil filter housing but it paid off in being able to hear it run today yay

Scuffed my Tsi sideskirts for my 2g. Adhesion promoter then Surfacer. Going to wet sand them smooth and take the spoiler off and get that prepped.

Removing doors and stripping the lower weld seam so rust protection agents can do their job. I plan on gutting the doors and adding new "Seal out" and "Seam Sealer" to the edges and cavities inside my doors. The bottoms have such bad discoloration from rust and it annoys the hell out of me. Once the doors are off and skins peeled off, i'll get a chance to finally tackle the door jambs properly. New chip guard in the traffic areas and fresh undercoating throughout the bottom. Going to use my rotisserie. Should be a good day. First time i'll be doing ANYTHING to my car in months. I hate Wisconsin cold sometimes.

Indeed . This talon sounds nasty with the dp unhooked. Just wishing i could find my turbos banjo bolt so i can fill it with coolant and actually run it

I have a bnib half of the coolant line for a 2g..I thinks its 2g..I also have one more bnib coolant or oil feed nuts..

I found it. So the good news is i dont have any coolant or oil leaks. The bad is it wont idle on its own. Guess i need to blt it sometime this week. Though i may just order the sd kit and be done with it

Corey, more details on that radiator!! I need something like that! My redjack manifold doesnt give me much room between a couple runners and the radiator. Too close and cluttered for my liking.

Afterwards I spent 30 bucks on a piece of aluminum plate, only to bring it home and realize I was a dumbshit and I remembered the dimensions I needed incorrectly.
