i installed a new slave cylinder, watched jacks clutch adjustment video like 6 times, the good- peddle is a little stiffer so geting into 3rd and 4th is easier, the bad- the peddle is no where near as stiff as it needs to be and 3rd and 4th is still hit and miss.

Worked on my spare headlights today. Need to get them resealed and spend another hour or so continuing to sand. fun.... :banghead:
 
Ordered some fabric to finish wrapping my interior and also my distribution boxes so I can get the battery in and start it once the wiring harness is done.
I've also been plugging away at my wiring harness too lately.

Installed the EGR Block off plate (was leaking)
Adjusted CAS (it was retarded 7 deg. for some reason, probably P/O)
Thread locked trans bolts that seem to want to back out all of the time

Finally ordered new front KYB AGX shocks, im tired of bouncing to the moon.
 
Just got my freshly built short block in today. Wiseco pistons on scat rods, arp everything. Also got in my cometic hg and a new set of arp head studs. Over all good day. Hopefully this weekend it will be halfway decent weather so I can slap the head, timing components, etc on then drop it in next weekend. Unless I get the rest of the cash I need for the gsx shell I found then ill just drop it in there :).
 
Went out to the garage to plug the hole for my oil feed off of the head. Found out that it was Heli-Coiled for a 3/8 x 16 bolt instead of a 10m x 1.25 bolt. Fixed and on to the next thing.
 
Looped a vac line on my egr valve til my block off plate gets here, Installed 4 vacuum line caps on throttle body ports, plugged vac line from now removed charcoal canister, plugs port on factory air can that was open to the atmosphere....

Next on the list.... Buy 4 new tires... Then do an oil change (like sludge)....coolant flush (completely brown and junk) just purchased the car Sunday from a guy who owned it for the past 11 years..... 83k original miles!!!
 
Saw the head today, just back from the machine shop. Its purrtty. New valves, valve job new seats and seals and decked. Car should be running for boost leak testing this week then I get her back!
 
Gutted car minus dash. Searching for rust since the top has a leak, and has been sitting unattended for over 2 years. I was expecting to find a lot more. Got ass kicked by a mysterious o2 sensor, that I still can't find the male end connector for. All in the snow! Cleaning these plastic bits and carpet tonight. :hellyeah:

Also found out that the old TCU is still there from when previous owner did a swap. Will be taking that out and sellng 2morrow

Oh yeah. I was told that my radiator can't be repaired more than likely... Going to still have it checked out...

hi im new to the dsm iv mainly drove hondas but i picked a 91 tsi awd with only 91,000 on it for a desent price but what can i do to make it a lil faster with out spending a lot of money ? i plane on uping the boost to 15psi and doing a fmic but is there iny thing else i could do ?
 
Disabled my stock car alarm....witch i did not know i had until last night. made for an awesome drive home having it go off every 10 min. (yes i did try the whole unlock the door and hatch with my key)
 
Oh sounds like someone is on their way to maxxing out a 14b ;). Nothing today, but i about got my engine together this weekend. I need another turbo though as my old setup wont fit in a 1g without major modifications :(. So hopefully im gonna jump on the holset bandwagon LOL
