I guess I've been running with that dam hole ever since I installed the turbo. I was like:wtf: !! When air started blowing out of the bolt hole. Lol I'm sure it'll run much stronger after i fix that. Lol

Is that a pivot ball?!? I think it's supposed to have a barb fitting so you have a place to add a boost controller between your actuator, or do you have your j pipe already tapped?

I cried at the sight of my spyder thats been sitting in the same spot for 2 years. Hail damaged top and inside is soaked... Plus shes dirty as hell, and I couldn't start her because battery is dead and is surrounded by two other cars I don't have the keys for. Plus my laptop I use for ceddymodding is soaked and f*cked... Tactrix cable as well... So much work to do on her... And I'm like 1.5 hours drive from her... But it was so damn nice to just sit in her again! :hellyeah:

not my DSM but my friends

pulled this gem of an intercooler off, the upper and lower pipes were custom welded exhaust piping. hands down the worst hack job I've ever seen and yes that's JB weld without the hardener covered in tin foil and that was to cover up the broken welds and the BOV flange which was just stuffed in there and "glued"

Finished the repair on the 97 tsi front bumper, then sanded down both that and the hood I have laying around. Going to hunt for some body filler to patch in the big dents and rock chips in the hood, some meaner sand paper for the resin on the bumper then ill hunt for a decent paint gun, good primer and then trying to find my stock color base at a local store.. that's gonna hurt.

Here's a sneak peek!

Well lets see......This weekend, I went to the U Pull It and got a new alternator and ps pump. Stupid me left part of the pump there and blew a head gasket on my neon while driving home. I proceeded to change the alternator, and ended up looping the power steering since I needed a car ASAP. Fixed a downpipe leak. Fixed my windshield washers. Fixed my jammed HVAC control cables. Fixed my sticking fuel level sender. I feel accomplished this weekend. Thankfully it was 60+ degree weather. I can not wait for spring....

Installed a new battery and started her for the first time for over a year. WATER EVERYWHERE. After the computer reset itself, she ran like a champ. Gutting inside to search for rust and dry out carpet/seats. Gotta get the clutch replaced in a week or so. Damn it was so good to hear her purr. Can;t wait to fix the rest of it.

So some of the more dramatic exterior stuff should be getting sorted out this week.. trying to find a way to keep pressure under the back of the car low and keep the cover from getting ripped off by a few hundred pounds of aero drag at speed

So in addition to a couple multi-port diffusers put into the cover we are latching it with metal studs off the chassis at the top and the bottom:

And on the front we are trying to massage the cover to fit the big ass intercooler:

Don't mind the surge tank hanging low, the cradle is sitting at the bottom of its adjustment while we move things around. Ground clearance is not an issue.

Yes I have to Fix that rust spot. The whole car is getting touched up after its running and I am having the underbody sprayed with rhino-liner.

Thats awsome,I was planning on replacing mine with one off made aluminum parts I plan on making. Can you tell us how you got the front bumper to stay with no support?

No more crash beams.

The rear beam has been replaced by a Buschur removable chute mount

The front is supported by a couple bars under the core, held at the sides by the Dzus fasteners and up top it will be fixed to the threaded bosses on the intercooler core.

Ahh gotcha..The front just looked so clean I didnt know if you pulled some witch sh** which is how it looked liked a magician put the bumper on..ROFL..Like bumper in suspended animation..LOL
