install half of my interior..dsm interior is soo easy to work with :)

Except I keep losing the interior panel retainers..

Today and tomorrow:
1) drill and tap head for 12x1.25 to -4AN turbo oil feed as the banjo stripped out the threads with no effort. I need to be extra careful because the head is still on. I'm not removing it to do the job, as I really don't want to ruin $100 in gaskets with ZERO runtime on them.
2) fab up an oil feed line to MHI turbo. I hate working with SS braided line.
3) fab up another SS line and T fitting for mechanical oil presure gauge. I just don't trust nylon or the copper line. Rather, I don't trust myself to do the nylon perfectly correct for oil, and the copper line.. well, I might as well just do something that will last.

This weekend:
4,5,6,7,8,...) lots. Maybe get her fired up again for the first time this year.

Seafoam isn't gonna net you 20whp or anything. In my Grand Am when I used it, it smoked out the entire neighborhood LOL. Then I took it out and beat on it till it stopped smoking and it definitely does feel 'crisper' you could say. Its good for removing carbon deposits and garbage build up. I got a 1-2mpg increase.. and gas is 4.14 a gal. Every little bit helps.

Well couldn't explain the lag after my rebuild and so I did a boost leak test and wouldn't ya know it I had a few wholes in my intercooler.

Pulled it off, gave it a good cleaning and JB welded the wholes. Throwing it together tomorrow and turning the boost down a bit incase it out performs my injectors after the leaks fixed.

since my back is screwed up my friend stopped by to help me do some stuff on the car today.

decided todays project would be fabbing up the wastegate dump tube

Tightened up leaking oil feed and return line banjo bolts. I don't think the crush washers were crushed enough. Had shop patch my tire with a roofing nail in it.
Waiting on new power steering resevoir cap and drivers side cv shaft. Even with the cap on, ps fluid oozes out of the top like some creepy goop on a cheap horror movie.
Also found that my oil filter had begun working its way loose. That's a first for me.
I still love my 22 year old DSM.

Drove it after installing my summit racing seat yesterday. Summit slider sucks, needs to slide back about 1" further. Could be how I mounted it to my "custom" bracket too though. Also it's amazing how comfy the stock 1g seats feel compared to a racing seat. But, car ran like a top, after saying I wouldn't go back to the track this year I'm starting to want to call myself a liar.

End of day tally
New drivers side CV shaft
New wheel bearings and seals
New rotors and Wagner thermoquiet ceramic pads

Couldn't figure out why car was shaking my face off on the highway. The wheel bearings were the originals from october 1989, and they were toasted. They didn't need to be removed from the car, they FELL out.

played sick to skip school and work on my car

put a new head gasket on, put the head back on, reconnected everthing to the intake mani, put all timing components back on besides the belt and put the cams back on also. went back to oriellys....for the 7th time this week

won a set of mishimoto hoses woot woot.

on the car I watched my friend build a direct link throttle cable, install a 3g master cylinder and start to run my battery relocation wires.

Somehow, I broke the radiator hose flange off of the radiator, and the car pissed coolant all over itself while driving.

Fun times....

Installed brand new OEM front splash shields and fender liners.

Put in a transfer case brace last week.

thanks it was alot cleaner but with the rush to finish it in the last few weeks due to my spinal surgery i had to sacrifice on cleanliness a little bit

Well you still did a heck of a job man! Also, hope you have a great recovery from surgery.

Thanks just got the stitches out and the back feels alot better. Still sore but no more pulling and stretching feeling which is a huge plus. Now if i was able to lift more than ten pounds.
