went 65 in a 40mph zone trying to burn the bad gas i have in my car on my way to work before doing a much needed tune-up tomorrow. Just bought her and boy do i have a lot of work ahead of me. :ohdamn:

I know that feeling of having a lot of work ahead. Cleaned/polished/restored headlamps, built a new floor for the trunk and cleaned the trunk carpet.

Yesterday I washed and waxed.

Day before I think was change the oil and try to clean the rust from the bottom of the trunk because the washer fluid pump gaskets had completely failed. Actually looking for some good suggestions on how to get in and around everything and sealing suggestions.

I'm about to go pick up a re-manufactured rear passenger side caliper because the previous one took a dump with the piston not extending under any amount of line pressure, yet can be turned with the tool and no fluid leaks, and a seized parking brake lever.

Got my thermal cat back on, and welded my lower door hinge so my door doesnt drop down an inch below the latch. :D

Love the low rumble of the thermal. cant wait till my buddie gets his 16g so I can get his 14b. then comes evo-scan and the fun! :thumb:

since i deleted my blower motor and ac i needed somewhere to put my gauges that didnt involve the a pillar. I always hate the way a pillar pod screams im modded. Plus since most of the times the bottom gauge on a 3 pillar pods sits close enough to the wheel to interfere with full turns.

took the backing plate off the hvac controls and made the gauges fit

I figured out my smoking problem..Pulled the manifold off two find cyl 1 and 2 covered in oil..I guess I'ts good I found it before driving on the road.

Gonna be looking into s1 cams for sure.

restored headlights on the TSi, screwed up and bought an adhesive backup pad for a velcro trizact pad, so they aren't as good as they will be. Pass side before, drivers side after

Drove the eclipse today and I was on the highway decided to feel what the car could do since it still a fairly new engine so I floored it in 5th gear and the car just took off from 80 mph to about 130 and BOOM oil pressure fell and herd shrapnel flying out the engine bay area onto the road. Pulled over and I'm assuming all my oil sprayed out somewhere on the timing belt side so I had it towed home. Tomorrow morning it's time to put the cover and see if I'm going to part out the car and be done with the tuner scene or if its something small and can be repaired. Going to relax for the rest of the evening so enjoy your weekend DSMers mine started out badly.......
