Lost my virginity to the timing belts/idler replacement. Ugh, not much room in there, is there??!!! The vFaq makes it look so easy ;)

Since April, I have done the brakes, rear wheel bearing (that was a beeoch), fixed several boost leaks, replaced injector seals, thermostat, new stereo, tinted windows, and replaced all fluids with Red Line synthetics. Also polished headlights and VHT'd that damn orange stripe off the taillights. And the usual cleaning/polishing.

Tonight, I plan on actually driving it :D

Drained my oil and it looked like a Melted Vanilla shake and after looking around on the back end of the block behind piston number 1 there a hole the size of an orange......smh......looks like the connecting rod snapped in half punching a whole in the block. So now I have to look for a new block, replacement parts, rebuilding and installing it in the car again, I just installed this brand new fully built engine just 4 months ago and received only 632 miles out the engine before this happening. Right now I'm not feeling like doing anything but crush the car..........

re-did my timing for the third time this month. Having oh so much fun with this 6 bolt swap.

Found a set of black cloth 3G Spyder seats on Craig's list tonight. Got the fronts and back for 30.00. Just wanted the rears. Ended up meeting up with a buddy on the way home and gave him the fronts.

They match the Evo 3 recaros pretty well they have the same pattern on them

The upper rear sits higher then a 2g but that is all that changed with the 3G seat it clipped right in.

Installed an Alpine m2000 to power the subs. Have a ground humm to isolate but aside from that its a tad loud  . New radiator cooling fan due to previous crapping out. $60 1800 radiator .

Full detail the other day and a fresh tank of 93 octane and some nos booster in the a.m.

Debating on a nitrous kit set for a 50 shot for the occasional play day. Maybe once, twice a month and not even push it. Found some decent ones for ~$200 used.

Finished my build and took my car for a drive. Now just some odds and ends to tinker with and to double check my MBC vacuum lines because I'm hitting over 15psi

My talon had bacon lettuce and tomatoes, and found out one of her couplers had a small tear, replaced it and took it for a run and wallah no more lag.

Fixed my boost surge. Just had the T backwards. Turned it around and I hit 10psi consistently. Drove it around just for the hell of it.

Replaced the fusible links for the MPI, Power Windows, headlight motors, and rear defroster.

On a second note, the short is fixed.

Also put some seafoam in the tank, getting her inspected tomorrow.

Solved my bleeder type MBC boost spiking issue by removing the ball and spring from the gated tee.

I finished up welding my exhaust and hangers and got them mounted and went to put in my new DSS driveshaft and it was too long! I think they sent me one for a 1g. :( Now I have to wait until monday just to get the ball rolling on getting the right length.

Called it every word in the dictionary. Ported ofh, cutal a coil off pressure relief spring. Intalled oil feed from ofh. Thought what would she look like with 5 gallons of gas a road flare:( why cant previouse owners take car of these cars:( Makes me frustrated every time I work on her

well...cleaned the interior and washed her up....power sprayed the engine bay and guess what...found oil leak by return line for and identified some other issues...then there was an unusual sound...checked the oil - greyish material...blown headgasket....UGH...just when i thought it was going to be easy...now i am looking at rebuilding the engine...177,xxx miles or grabbing a low mileage one for swapping...any suggestions from the DSM family out here?

Finished installing the nx wet kit with a 50 shot. My head was already lifting from the 21psi from the 16g on factory head bolts LOL but the hg still didn't let loose Completly drove home just fine. Next up new composite hg and arps should be done next week or 2.
