hey guys, im sorry i wasnt able to answer to your responses lately due to school and work .... but thanks for all you help if there are any other questions .... ill post on this thread .. thanks

cant believe Im posting here.....

anyways, everything you need to know has pretty much been covered. if you hit 2gnt's turbo section I made a nice pictorial on installing the oil feedline for your turbo (those images are copyrighted 2006 3fastperformance so dont be trying to use them here on t00nerz).

I'll never buy a manifold or turbo from ebay, thats just DUMB

the smaller the turbo the quicker the spool but the less power produced.

the minimum needed for a turbo kit are oil feed and drain lines, manifold, downpipe, turbo , wastegate, piping, BOV, fuel cut defense (black box or missing link) and a 12:1 FPR, an intercooler if you want more boost.

dont worry about anything beyond that point until you hit that point. it just becomes exponetially more expensive as you build up power and the more likely shit is to break. deal with it.

Wow, your post was pretty useless...if you don't like it here on "t00nerz", then don't post :nono:

Some proper grammar and capitalization might help too ;)

Ummm.... It's the proper term for describing the missing link or a voltage clamp on the MAP. Fuel Cut Defense (FCD).

ROFL @ fuel cut defense

My grammar seemed fine, caapitalization is well.... unimportant, but just to cheer you up I'll do my best this post.

Anyways, the vague answer was spot on, simple answer for a simple question. Its obvious he isnt extremely keen with whats going on in the turboing of his car, so its best to not overwhelm him.

ROFL @ FCD all you want, my missing link has done its job flawlessly. If youre confused, the term Fuel Cut Defense is the right term to use when refering to either a voltage clamp or Missing Link; yay looks like you may have learned something.

and its posts like yours that make this place so unenjoyable, my post was "pretty useless" yours however was completely useless. I wont be getting into a pissing contest with you ; I dont care enough. If you want tuners to suck less, start with yourself, then maybe knowledgable friendly people like me wont stay away from this place.

its great to be a donating old school loved guy on 2gnt for 5 years, but 5 years after being here people still treat everyone like a newb

Malenko man, the site has been going up and down for the last years, especially with people trying to hack into it. So there has been an inflation of new people, as well as people who are knowledgable but haven't been around here for awhile. So if you've got the time, and feel like helping some people out, then bring what you got to the table.

hahaha for thinking I didn't know what I was talking about.

I was ROFL 'ing because it's almost always referred to as Fuel Cut Defencer ;)
None of my post was meant as a pissing contest, just pointing out the fact that you think because you post on 2gnt all the time that you're better than everyone on this site. Yes there are lots of newer people on here, sure 2gnt is easier for us sometimes, but that doesn't mean that we can't stick around to help the 420a world of "t00nerz" expand again.

Oh yeah...fyi: Mike Hart sells his manifolds on ebay....one of the best on the market :thumb:

I think you meant Defender...
What you were thinking of was this, a common misunderstanding

(sigh) - Discounting another person's comments and then telling them what they think is a really good way to start a pissing contest, bro.

It's an interesting dichotomy, though, when you get to thinking about it. I'd put it in writing, and in effect, I am now, I've learned little, if anything about my car or DSMs in general from DSMtuners. I am 100% a product of 2GNT. When I was asked if I wanted to be a Wiseman, I expressed my explicit allegiance to 2GNT, but felt that I can do my part to better unify the DSM community at large by trying to be a positive influence in this forum. Without speaking to how others might think, I'll tell you that the original DSMtuners NT Wiseman, imo, Chris, has been doing pretty much all his 2.4L swap research on 2GNT. Why is that? Because there tends to be a lot more talk and benchracing over here than real 420A development. Just my observation.

I make my rounds every day while I'm at work - making sure there's no misinformation being spread in the 420A threads or stupid bickering working against us all, but I'm trying to see to it that those people who really know their sh!t on this site are recognized. This site needs positive influences in the 420A community that consider this site home and that will continue to keep things on the level long after I've retreated back to my 2GNT-related projects. I practically walked away from a third DSM forum entirely just so I could spend more time here helping out. The better things run over here, the less time I feel I need to spend over here and the more time I can spend working on the 2GNT/SC.

Now, I'm not saying all this to say that Malenko is 100% right or to say that everyone here is deserving of the now-less-common nickname of "T00ner," but to show that more and more, the issue is coming down to attitude in our community. New people are lazier and less apt to search, but are gunned down when they bump old threads they would have had to use the search to find. The level of mutual respect needs to come up more in our community. I hope to see the 420A forums on DSMtuners become a place I can pop into a couple times a month, at most, and check up on the projects of my old buddies in this neck of the woods. If I'm going to be working on things, I'd rather be working on both 2GNT and my own website.

OMG...that was hilarious.

P.S. I meant what I said, defencer :rocks:

+1 for that...I never said that I myself don't search and post on 2gnt due to the extreme vast knowledge we all know to exist there :thumb:

...meh, I'm just in a pissy mood today. I have quite the oil leak :notgood:
